We anticipate placing a modular home next to the existing structure that would provide for daily staffing. This would provide necessary fire station facility for several years while a more long-term plan is developed.

The fire district has contracted Ketchell Inc. (a Sacramento based construction management firm) to provide a compressive facilities study of existing RVFPD fire stations and a storage facility. All RVFPD stations have likely outlived their useful life and will require significant upgrading or replacement.
Projected rebuilding costs if performed in 2019:
- Station 20 $5.5m Station 22 $7m
- Station 24 $6m Station 25 $1m
The funding for the fire station rebuilding project will likely need to be derive from the passage of a voter approved bond measure in the future.
There are other opportunities to explore with the Santa Rosa Fire Department. These opportunities may include the ability to build a joint agency fire station or relocated existing fire station locations to a more desirable location based upon a Standard of Cover response analysis.
