Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Sonoma Local Agency Formation Commission will conduct a public hearing at which time all interested persons may be heard on the following item:

Request by the Palm Drive Health Care District for Reconsideration of Commission Approval of a Change of Organization Involving Detachment of Territory from Palm Drive Health Care District (File No. 2016-02)

On October 5, 2016, the Sonoma Local Agency Formation Commission approved the detachment from the Palm Drive Health Care District of territory consisting of all parcels located within the boundaries of the Guerneville, Forestville, and Monte Rio School Districts (File No. 2016-02) (Resolution No. 2664).

The Palm Drive Health Care District filed a request for reconsideration of the Commission’s resolution, on November 3, 2016. Pursuant to the requirements set forth in Government Code Section 56895, the Commission will conduct a public hearing to consider the submitted request, will receive any oral or written testimony concerning the request, will consider the report of the Executive Officer, and may act on the request.

Information about the request for reconsideration and the proposal, including the approval of the proposal pursuant to Resolution No. 2664, is on file at the Sonoma LAFCO office and may be examined by interested persons.

If you cannot attend the public hearing described in this notice, you may submit written comments to the Commission prior to the hearing. Please direct comments, questions, and requests to review documents to the Sonoma Local Agency Formation Commission, 575 Administration Drive, Room 104A, Santa Rosa, CA 95403, or at (707) 565-2577.

If you challenge the actions of the Sonoma Local Agency Formation Commission in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the Sonoma Local Agency Formation Commission at, or prior to, the hearing.

All Interested persons are hereby invited to be present and heard on the matter described in this notice.
