Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Sonoma Local Agency Formation Commission will hold public hearing on the following:

File No. 16-03: Amendment No. 2 to the Sphere of Influence of the Rancho Adobe Fire Protection District and Reorganization No. 2016-01 Consisting of Annexation to the Rancho Adobe Fire Protection District and Annexation to County Service Area No. 41 (Multi-Services) and Confirming Detachment from the City of Petaluma (County of Sonoma)

The subject application, designated as File No. 16-03, was initiated by resolution of the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors. The affected territory consists of four parcels totaling approximately 2.25 acres. Three parcels are located along Manor Lane (APNs 017-090-006, -007, and -008) and one parcel is located along Lynch Road north of Lynch Creek (APN 137-100-014); all are east of Adobe Road and the City of Petaluma. The reason for the proposal is to restore the affected territory to unincorporated status, pursuant to its detachment from the City of Petaluma; allow development at densities permitted by the Sonoma County General Plan; and provide access to fire protection services. Environmental Determination: Exemption, pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3) of the State CEQA Guidelines.

At the hearings, the Commission will hear and receive all relevant oral and written testimony and evidence presented or filed concerning the subject proposal. The Commission will consider the report of the Executive Officer and the plan for providing services for the subject proposal and may approve, amend, or deny the proposal.

Copies of all documents relating to the Fiscal Year 2016-17 Final Budget and Fee Schedule will be available for review at the Sonoma Local Agency Formation Commission office. If you cannot attend the public hearing described in this notice, you may submit written comments prior to the hearing.
