Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Sonoma Local Agency Formation Commission will conduct a public hearing at which time all interested persons may be heard on the following item:

File No. 2015-13: Del Rio Woods Recreation and Park District Dissolution (County of Sonoma)

The proposal for dissolution of the District was initiated by resolution of the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors on October 6, 2015. The affected territory, consisting of approximately 370 parcels totaling approximately 800 acres, is generally located north and south of North Fitch Mountain Road, east of the City of Healdsburg, in unincorporated Sonoma County. The reason for the proposal is to allow the County of Sonoma to assume responsibility, as the successor agency, for operating Del Rio Beach for public use. Environmental Determination: Categorical Exemption, pursuant to Section 15320 of the State of California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines.

At the hearing, the Sonoma Local Agency Formation Commission will hear any relevant oral or written testimony and evidence presented or filed concerning the proposal. The Commission will consider the report of the Executive Officer and plan for providing services and may approve, amend, or deny the proposal. The Commission will consider the environmental effects of the proposal.

This Notice of Public Hearing is being sent to all owners of property within, and all registered voters residing within, the affected territory and within 300 feet of the outside boundary, based on the most recent Sonoma County assessment roll and register of voters.

Copies of all documents relating to the proposal may be reviewed at the Sonoma Local Agency Formation Commission office. If you cannot attend the public hearing described in this notice, you may submit written comments on the proposal prior to the hearing to the Sonoma Local Agency Formation Commission, 575 Administration Drive, Room 104A, Santa Rosa, California, 95403.
