Notice of Public Protest Hearing

Protest Hearing Date: Wednesday, July 11, 2012

Location: Sonoma County Administration Building, 575 Administration Drive, Room 102A, Santa Rosa, California

Notice is hereby given that the Sonoma Local Agency Formation Commission will hold a public hearing on the following:

File No. 12-04: Southeast Santa Rosa Reorganization No. 1-09 (Spring Lake Village) Involving Annexation to the City of Santa Rosa and Detachment from Rincon Valley Fire Protection District and County Service Area No. 41 (Multi-Services)

The application was initiated by petition by Episcopal Senior Communities. The affected territory, consisting of six parcels totaling approximately 3.55 acres, is generally located along the north side of Montgomery Drive and east side of Brey Road, east of Channel Drive, west of Melita Road, north of Spring Lake Park, and south of Santa Rosa Creek, in southeast Santa Rosa (APNs 031-070-033, -034, -041, -048, -049, -069). The reason for the proposal is to allow development on one parcel for uses and at densities permitted by the City of Santa Rosa’s General Plan and to access to City services. Environmental Determination: Environmental Impact Report.

At the hearing, the Sonoma Local Agency Formation Commission will hear any relevant oral or written testimony and evidence presented or filed concerning the proposal. The Commission will consider the reports of the Executive Officer and plan for providing services and may approve, amend, or deny the proposal. The Commission will consider the Environmental Impact Report prepared by the City. Copies of all documents relating to the proposal may be reviewed at the Sonoma Local Agency Formation Commission office. If you cannot attend the public hearing described in this notice, you may submit written comments on the proposal prior to the hearing. All Interested persons are hereby invited to be present and heard on the matter described in this notice.

If you challenge the actions of the Sonoma Local Agency Formation Commission on the environmental determinations and the proposal in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Sonoma Local Agency Formation Commission at, or prior to, the hearing.
